More than 20 business organizations have come together to outline steps state government should consider to assist the state’s business community in weathering the coronavirus situation in Oregon, protecting jobs and meeting payrolls.
“Our first priority is keeping Oregonians healthy and safe. We appreciate the bold steps Oregon leadership has taken to address the COVID-19 situation in Oregon,” said Sandra McDonough, president and CEO of Oregon Business & Industry. “We want to ensure business can take care of their employees and make sure they have jobs to come back to.”
The business associations outlined steps that should be taken immediately and offered to assist state leaders in the days ahead to address the crisis. They stressed it is important that businesses and employers have the tools to take care of their employees and keep their operations afloat, while still keeping Oregonians healthy.
OBI has submitted it to Oregon leadership as part of the Coronavirus Economic Advisory Council.
