Nine middle-schoolers have qualified to participate in the third annual Oregon Civics Bee, which will take place next month in Salem. The students below include the top three competitors in a trio of regional bees that occurred in April in Beaverton, Eugene and Tigard:

- Brynn Kleinke (Eugene)
- Romi Oji (Portland)
- Grace Radecki (Tualatin)
- Lydia Radecki (Tualatin)
- Ishwantia Ravi (Portland)
- Justice Witkin (Eugene)
- Addison Woods (Coburg)
The Oregon Civics Bee will take place June 16 in the House Chamber of the Oregon Capitol in Salem. Secretary of State Tobias Read will emcee the competition, which will run from 2-3:30 p.m. The bee will feature a quiz-style competition as well as engagement with a panel of judges about student essays identifying community problems and proposing solutions guided by civic virtues. The winner of the Oregon Civics Bee will be invited to participate in the National Civics Bee®, which will take place in Washington, D.C., in fall 2026.
The inaugural Oregon Civics Bee, which took place in 2024, was won by Thomas Morgan of Keizer. The 2025 Oregon Civics Bee was won by Juniper Ward of Corvallis.
The Oregon Civics Bee is presented by Kinder Morgan with support from the Oregon State Capitol Foundation. It is organized by Oregon Business & Industry in partnership with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation.
