Oregon Business & Industry has released its priorities for the 2026 legislative session.
The session is an important opportunity for lawmakers to follow through on their commitment to strengthen Oregon’s economic competitiveness and grow the state’s private sector. To make meaningful progress, the Legislature must advance pro-business policies, re-evaluate existing laws and regulations and avoid enacting new programs that add costs, increase complexity and weaken Oregon’s competitive position.
Short legislative sessions are intended to focus on budget adjustments and urgent issues, and Oregon’s economic competitiveness is one of the most urgent challenges facing the state. The priorities outlined here reflect OBI’s targeted short-session agenda, not the full scope of OBI’s policy priorities, which are detailed in our Oregon Competitiveness Agenda.
